Dorothy Jean Cox

Dorothy Cox, 78 of Morehouse, Missouri passed away May 24, 2021. She was born to the late Alvie Berdine and Clara Purvis Curry on June 29, 1942 in Lamar, Arkansas. Dorothy was married to Norman Cox in Duluth, Georgia and he preceded her in death. She worked in Georgia as a secretary for the Avon Cosmetic Company in Atlanta, Georgia. Dot as some called her loved quilting, sewing, crafts, canning and crochet. Dorothy is survived by her brother Bill Curry of Morehouse, Missouri nieces Carol Curry, and Donna Leadbetter; nephews David Curry and Brad Curry. A host of family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her brother Ken Curry Sr. and nephew Ken Curry Jr. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 27, 2021 from 11 am to 1 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Service will be held on Thursday May 27, 2021 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dale Holman of Dexter officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield City Cemetery with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
