Wilma Ines "Tootsie" Dunnegan Wilma Inez (Baker) Dunnegan the daughter of the late John L. and Margie (Ireland) Baker was born at Clines Island, Essex, Missouri on November 8, 1923 and passed away at Crowley Ridge Nursing Center on August 20, 2022. On June 5th 1948 she was married to Harold V. Dunnegan in Piggott, Arkansas. They were married 57 years before his passing on September 15, 2005. Their daughter, Wilma Lea (Dunnegan) Tiedemann is their only chld. She was loved dearly by both of them. Her loss is Heavens gain. Wilma was a school teacher for 31 years. She has touched many lives and loved children very much it didn't matter rich or poor, "Just Children"! She taught at Himmel School, Shawn, Clines Island, Bowman School, and 25 years at Bell City School. She was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. A member of Missouri State Teachers Association. A member of (DAV) Ladies Auxillary since her husband was a Disabled Veteran. Wilma, or "Tootsie", leaves three Special Neices Barbara (Cooper) Smith, and Beth Ann (Aslin) Revelle and Karen (Cooper) McCain. They were so precious to her. Barbara called her "Aunt Wilma" and Beth Ann called her "Aunt Tootsie". She leaves three grand children Todd Tiedemann of Hermitage, Missouri; Lisa (Tiedemann) Brasher and Dana (Tiedemann) Silvey both from Alabama. The love Wilma had for her grand children can not be expressed in words. Pa Pa and Ma Ma were always ready to go get them and keep them. They brought so mcuh happiness to them. She leaves six great garndchildren Shelbi Robyne (Richard) Stevens; Brianna Nichole Brasher Woodruff; Marissa Lea Brasher; Alevia Ann Brasher; Timothy Dalton Silvey; Bailee Nichole (Will) Price. Five great great grandchildren Mary Jane Stevens; Ryleigh Blake Woodruff; Presleigh Elle Silvey; Natalie Price; Isabella Rose Price and one more on the way. Wilma leaves one foster brother Luther McCain of Waterford, Michigan. Luther attended the school (Gravel Hill) where her sister Margaret Baker Aslin taught. That is when Luther came to live with Wilma. Last, but not least Wilma leaves behind Todd, Lisa and Dana's Father, Daniel A.Tiedemann who was so helpful to drive them to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis during Harold's illness, and also kept in touch with Wilma after Harold's death. Wilma was of the Baptist faith and loved her church family very much. Wilma will be laid to rest beside her husband, Harold V. Dunnegan- Her "paratrooper" 82nd Airborn Division. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 10 A.M. till 11 A.M. until the time of service at the Watkins And Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri. Funeral service will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 11 A.M. at the Watkins And Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with Pastor Terry Berry of Bloomfield officiating. Interment will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins And Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
