Barb Flanigan

Barb Flanigan of Morehouse, daughter of late L. V. and Lois Flatt Hopper, was born in Matthews, Missouri on December 21, 1954, and passed away at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on January 30, 2020, at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 9 days. She lived in the Morehouse and Matthews area most of her life and had worked as a cook at Keller Truck Stop. She also attended The First Christian in Matthews. On November 27, 1993, she was married to Roger Dale Flanigan, Sr. in Morehouse. Surviving are her husband, Roger Dale Flanigan, Sr. of Morehouse; two sons, Roger Dale Flanigan, Jr. of Morehouse, Justin Hermes of St. Paul, Kansas; three daughters, Tammy Jean Allen of Sikeston, Maria McDaniel of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Jenny McKean of Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren; several great grandchildern; one brother, Randy Hopper of New Madrid; two sisters, Doris Heavner of Bertrand and Joyce Sissom of Henderson, Tennessee. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by two son, Jeff Brittian and Omer Hermes; three brothers Andy, James, William Hopper, and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 11:00 to 1:00 pm. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm with Rev. Steve Tippen of Dexter, Missouri officiating with the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter will be in charge of all the arrangements.
