Betty Lou Jordan of Batchelor, Louisiana, daughter of the late Homer Daniel and Diana Vergie Ritchie Parrish, was born in Mulberry, Arkansas on October 2, 1939, and passed away at the nursing home in Batchelor, Louisiana, January 22, 2020, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 20 days. Betty had been raised in the Morehouse and Essex Communities and had made her home in Batchelor, Louisiana for many years where she worked in the school lunch service. She enjoyed . She was first married to James B. Adams, he preceded her in death in 1981. She later married William R. "Bill" Jordan. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2019. Surviving are four sons & their wives, James Dennis & Anne Adams of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Floyd D. & Dona Adams and Scott D. & Lisa Adams all of Batchelor, Louisiana, Tim & Angie Jordan of Dexter, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two brothers and wife; Charles & Dottie Parrish of Dexter, Terry Parrish of Indiana; two sisters, Freda Huddleston of Bloomfield and Connie Albert of Lindon, Indiana. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Jesse Lee, Herman, Robert, Billy & Larry Parrish; and one sister, Helen Richardson. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Essex Cemetery in Essex with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
