David Wheetley

David Loyd Wheetley, son of the late Harold and Mildred Elledge Wheetley, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 9, 1956, and passed away at his residence in Puxico, Missouri on October 9, 2014, at the age of 58 years and 6 months. Mr. Wheetley owned and operated Wheetley Farms in Puxico. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Wappapello Crappie Club. On September 13, 1974, he was married to Marvell Cookson in Puxico, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Marvell Wheetley of Puxico; two sons, Christopher Wheetley and Joe Wheetley, both of Puxico; his mother, Mildred Wheetley; three sisters, Susan Fouts of Puxico, Sharon Pope of Dudley, and Sandy Roberts of Puxico. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Wheetley. Friends may visit Sunday, October 12, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico, Missouri officiating. Interment with be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
