Donald Melton

Donald E. Melton, son of the late Mattie Christine Melton, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 26, 1931, and passed away at his home in Puxico on June 30, 2014, at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 4 days. He had lived in Lee Vining, California, Houston, Texas and St. Louis before moving to Puxico in 1980. He had worked for the St. Louis County Water Company and at Arvin Automotive. He is a member of the Puxico Christian Church. He served in the U. S. Air Force. On June 10, 1954, he was married to Helen Green in St. Louis, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Helen Melton of Puxico; one daughter & husband, Lana & Patrick Kelley of Poplar Bluff; two sons and wife, Robin Melton of Wappapello, Derek & Michelle Melton of Puxico; seven grandchildren, Heather McNew, Ian Kelley, Ethan, Tanner, Logan, Ben and Emily Melton; two great grandchildren, Bradley & Kyle McNew. Other family and friends also survive. Memorial services will be held on Saturday July 5, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Puxico Christian Church in Puxico, Missouri.
