Elma Louise Johnson, daughter of the late James and Minnie Newell Grim, was born in Essex, Missouri on April 22, 1935, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on May 31, 2015, at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 9 days. Mrs. Johnson had lived in High Ridge, Missouri before moving to Dexter twenty-two years ago. She had owned and operated a beauty shop in High Ridge. She attended services at the Church On The Rock in Morehouse. On March 19, 1966, she was married to Clesten Johnson in St. Louis, Missouri. Surviving are her husband, Clesten Johnson of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Shaundous Lutman of Sikeston; two sons, Rick Weaver of Bloomfield, Brian Johnson of Republic, Missouri; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one sister, Pansy Woodruff of Dexter. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlotte Carden; two brothers, Ernie & Bud Grim; and three sisters, Opal Wyatt, Marie George and Florey White. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Curtis True of Sikeston officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
