Elmer Joe Shaw of Malden, son of the late James and Mozell McKeller Shaw, was born in Stoddard County, Missouri on October 4, 1950, and passed away at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri on August 20, 2020, at the age of 69 years. He had lived in the Parma and Malden areas most of his life, he did live a short time in Elk hart Indiana. He had worked as a building trusses for the railroad company. Elmer was a member of the Mount Zion in Essex, Missouri. On April 28, 1980, he was married to Mary Ann Wright in Malden, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann of Malden; one son, Tyren Wright, of Malden; three daughters; Christie Wright of Malden, Heather Baker of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Roxanne Wilson of Sikeston, Missouri; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Bennie (Geneva) Shaw of Elk hart, Indiana, Oscar L. Shaw of Malden; five sisters, Bernice Dennis Taylor Essex; Elsie (Charles) Hester of St. Louis, Fanny (James) Farr of Malden, Alfreda Shaw, and Dorothy both of Malden, Missouri. A host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by mother and father, aunts, uncles, and one brother and two infancy. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home In Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Aiken of Malden. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri, with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
