Elsie Duncan of Morehouse, daughter of late Harce and Orpha Wise, was born in Morehouse on May 18, 1939, and passed away at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on February 28, 2020, at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 10 days. She was a life long resident of Morehouse and was a member of the First Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse. On September 17, 1959, she married Floyd Duncan Jr. in Morehouse, Missouri. Surviving are her husband, Floyd Duncan, Jr. of Morehouse; one daughter, Carla Whitley of Morehouse; two sons, Jimmy and Kenny Duncan both of Morehouse; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and one sister, Thelma Davis of Camden, Alabama. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey and Jake Simpson and one sister, Nancy Dunn. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the First Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2020, at 10:00 am at the First Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse with the Rev. Jimmy Vent of Sikeston, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery with the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter will be in charge of all the arrangements.
