Eugene Woodall, son of the late Herman and Lillie Dubois Woodall, was born in Williford, Arkansas on August 11 1935, and passed away at his home in Matthews, Missouri on April 6, 2014, at the age of 78 years. He had lived in Matthews, Missouri most of his life. He had worked at Noranda as a maintenance mechanic before his retirement in 2008. On October 5, 1963 he married Carol Ann Baker in St. Charles, Illinois. She preceded him in death on July 22, 2008. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda & Derek McKown of Sikeston, Missouri; 2 grandsons, Caleb Crum and Nathaniel McKown, both of Sikeston, Missouri; one special nephew that lived with him, Roger Garza, Jr.; many other nieces and nephews; one brother, Pete Woodall, of Hazel Green, Alabama; four sisters, Nina Faye Reed of Jackson, Missouri, Nancy Cooper of Bloomfield, Missouri, Gail Gibson of Dexter, Missouri, and Cathy DeMeyer of Chesterfield, Missouri; Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Woodall;. three sisters, Virginia Masters, Carolyn Burns, and Wanda Atchley. Visitations will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rick Ramsey of Sikeston, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Misssouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
