Gerald V. Griffin

Gerald Virgil Griffin was born on January 10, 1937 in Bloomfield, Missouri to the late Lester and Grace (Cooper) Griffin and passed away on November 23, 2025 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 88.

On February 12, 1955 Gerald Griffin and Evelyn Smith were united in marriage in Sardis, Mississippi and she preceded him in death on November 2, 2018.

Gerald had been a resident of Southeast Missouri for the entirety of his life and was a member of the Stoddard County Republican Club and was a Free Mason. He enjoyed traveling, flying airplanes and working.

Gerald is survived by his son, Nathan Giffin, of Bloomfield, Missouri, a brother, Ivan (Sue) Griffin, of Bloomfield, Missouri, a nephew, Derick (Chiharu) Griffin, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri as well as several cousins.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Evelyn, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

The funeral will be on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 11 A.M. at The Lighthouse Church in Dexter, Missouri, with the funeral to follow at 1 P.M.

Internment will immediately follow at Rock Point Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri.
