Glen Allen Lankford
Glen Allen Lankford of Bloomfield, Missouri was born on January 8, 1940 in Essex, Missouri to the late Hiram Bryan and Mary Evelyn (Ellis) Lankford and passed away July 5, 2025 in Bloomfield, Missouri.
In November of 1984, Glen and Janice Gilliam were united in marriage in Essex, Missouri, and she survives the home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Glen lived most of his life in this area until his passing. Glen completed high school then went on to the serve in the Navy, where he visited other countries, which included Argentina, Newfoundland among others. Glen was a good family man and loved the outdoors, hunting and enjoyed the company of his grandchildren. He was a member of The Assembly Church in Bloomfield, Missouri and attended regularly. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving family include his wife, Janice and one son Paul David and Heather Lankford of Bloomfield, Missouri. 3 grandchildren: Josh Oberhaus of Lee's Summit, Mitchell Oberhaus of Grain Valley, Missouri, and Sean Finny (Kacie) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Glenna Kay Powell of Lake Tapawingo, and one grandson, Daren Telker of Kansas City.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 12 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor Dwight Hensley officiating.
The internment will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
