Harold L. Simpson was born on October 3, 1935, to the late Albert E. and Evelyn (Moore) Simpson in Lane County, Missouri and passed away on September 18, 2025, in Puxico, Missouri at the age of 89.
On June 21, 1958, Harold and Georgia Wood were united in marriage in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and she preceded him in death on August 17, 2013.
Harold lived in Southeast Missouri all his life and attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a 70-year member of the Local 513 Operators Union, loved to hunt and fish, and was a member of the Puxico Highschool Basketball team during the 1950’s.
Surviving family include his son, Kenneth (Cathy) Simpson, of Park Hills, Missouri, 2 grandchildren, Heather (Donnie) Redmond, of Coffman, Missouri, and Katie (Trey) Danieley, of Farmington, Missouri, 4 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Robert (Violet) Simpson, of Kingman, Arizona, and Earl Simpson, of Scott City, Missouri, as well as several nephews and a niece.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Georgia, a sister-in-law, Jean Simpson, and a nephew, Brian Gibbs.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, beginning at 11 A.M. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
