Jack Meyer Price of Puxico, Missouri, the son of the late Oliver Harold and Florence Burlew (Meyer) Price was born on February 21, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio, and went to be with the Lord on August 15, 2023, at the age of 91 years, 5 months, and 25 days.
Jack joined the United States Air Force on September 4, 1951, and served honorably in the Korean Conflict. Jack returned home and met the love of his life Lillie Glasener while working on the pipe line that ran through Puxico and he and Lillie were married shortly after. He returned to Texas and began his long career in Coaching until his retirement.
Jack lived in the Puxico area since 1985. He was of the Baptist Faith. Jack was a member of Gold panners Association, VFW and the American Legion. Jack loved the outdoors and camping. He never met a stranger, he loved sports, he really loved coaching all sports but especially football, but his true passion was gardening, and spending time with his family, friends, and spoiling his grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his wife of 63 wonderful years, Lillie Darlene Price; two sons, Duene Price and Steven Price both of Puxico, Missouri; two grandchildren, Douglas Price and Elizabeth Price; one great-granddaughter, Dallas Reetz; as well as a host of family and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Norma Price of Dayton Ohio, and Mary Stotler of McAllen, Texas.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at 9:00 A.M. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri
In lieu of flowers the family ask that a donation be made to the Veterans Memorial Fund.
