Jerry Carver, son of the late William Franklin and Lillian Versie Walker Carver was born in Kewanee, Missouri on February 27, 1947, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on August 13, 2015, at the age of 68years, 5 months and 17 days. Jerry had been a resident of Puxico and Dexter most of his life. He was a graduate of Zalma High School and he owned and operated Jerry's Print Shop in Dexter for many years. He enjoyed leather working, hunting, fishing, gardening, farming and playing cards. Surviving are four sisters, Maxine Duniphan and Lucille Colbert both of Granite City, Illinois, Ada Cobourn of Springfield, Illinois, Eula Beck of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Eugene Carver of McGee. Other friends and relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Payne and one brother, Earl Carver. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 17, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri. Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery in McGee, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
