**In Loving Memory of Jessie Oleta Whitley**
Jessie Oleta Whitley, cherished resident of Morehouse, Missouri, was born on January 22, 1938, in Murry, Arkansas, to late Leonard and Isabelle (Henderson) Daniels. A fulfilling journey through, she departed from this world on September 28, 2024, in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 6 days.
On September , 1954, Jessie was united in marriage with Winfred Whitley in Morehouse, Missouri. Together, they created a warm and loving family that stands as a testament to their enduring bond.
A devoted member of the First Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse, Jessie found joy in her faith and embraced the community around her. She enjoyed engaging in Bible study, reading, and was passionate about gardening and music. Her vibrant spirit was complemented by her love for outdoor adventures and the warmth of her handcrafted sewing projects. Above all, her family will forever treasure the comforting embrace of her warm hugs.
Jessie’s legacy lives on through her beloved family, which includes three daughters—Sharon Goodon, Marlene Kinder, and Kathy Newton—along with two sons, Michael Whitley and Winfred Whitley. She is also survived by a remarkable lineage of 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. As well as four sisters: Lela, Janet, Ruth, and Karen, and 1 brother Verlis. Jessie’s kindness and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Winfred Whitley, and three great-granddaughters, alongside four brothers and one sister, who now welcome her in eternal peace.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the First Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse, Missouri. A funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 11:00 A.M., officiated by Brother James Vent and Chad Cook. Interment will follow at the Triplett Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.
