Kathy Goodwin of Dexter, daughter of the late Jessie "Pete" and Annie Mae Reed Parker Welch, was born in Steele, Missouri on February 4, 1934, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center in Dexter, Missouri on February 14, 2018, at the age of 84 years and 10 days.
She was a long time resident of Dexter and had moved here from Chicago, Illinois. She had worked as a waitress at the Greyhound Bus Station. She was a member of the Pentacolstal Church and enjoyed old classic movies, especially Gone With The Wind.
In 1965 she was married to Glenn Harrison Goodwin in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Surviving are two daughters, Bast Deprow and JezeBelle Casson both of Dexter; two sons, Alex Casson, Jr. of St. Louis, Glenn Goodwin of Dexter; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Paul C. Denton of Florida. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Hank Williams Goodwin, one daughter, Diana Casson and a sister, JoAnn Welch.
Visitation will be Monday, February 19, 2018, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Graveside services will be conducted following visitation on Monday, February 19, at the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
