Mary Marie (DeBerry) Hankins

Mary Marie (DeBerry) Hankins was born on October 22, 1944 to the late James and Cyrena (Hawkins) DeBerry in Steele, Missouri and passed away on December 30, 2025 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 81.

Marie was a resident of Southeast Missouri for the majority of her life and attended the Lighthouse Church in Dexter, Missouri. She enjoyed going to flea markets, decorating her home, antiques, spending time with her family and grandkids and was a people person.

Marie is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda (Don) Morgan, of Farmington, Missouri and Reatha Watts of Bloomfield, Missouri, 2 grandchildren, Nathan (Sarah) White, of Kansas City, Kansas and Amber Cobb, of Bloomfield, Missouri, 5 great grandchildren, Navaeh Oliver, Allison White, Niyah Oliver, Carson White and Neiko Oliver, a brother, Charles (Carol) DeBerry, of Bloomfield, Missouri, as well as a special friend and neighbor, Nancy Maddox.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, William DeBerry, Hugh DeBerry, Jimmie DeBerry, and Michie DeBerry and a sister, Audrey Pounds.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri beginning at 1 P.M. for the visitation and 2 P.M. for the funeral.
