Michael Brown

Michael A. "Mike" Brown, the son of the late Wilmur and Viona Wilburn Brown, was born in Sikeston, Missouri on October 11, 1961, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on June 30, 2014, at the age of 52 years, 8 months and 19 days. Mr. Brown had lived in the Dexter area most of his life. He had worked as a furniture mover. On March 12, 2005, he was married to Loree Ann Shomaker in Dexter, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Loree Ann Brown of Dexter; three sons, Kevin Brown of Fort Hood, Texas, Dustin Brown of St. Joseph, Missouri, Michael Schemwell of Iowa; four grandchildren; two brothers, Delbert Brown of Goldendale, Washington, Gary Brown of New Madrid; two sisters, Carol Heflin of Jackson and Debbie Jaynes of Oak Grove, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Sandy Brown, Janice Rushins, and Patricia Watson; and one brother in infancy, Michael Keith Brown. Friends may call on Saturday, July 5, 2014, after 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Karen Oldham of Dexter officiating.
