Mildred "Molly" Phegley

Mildred E. "Molly" Phegley, daughter of the late Andrew Vernon and Maud Wolfe Mills, was born in Savannah, Tennessee on May 4, 1923, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on June 16, 2016, at the age of 93 years, 1 month and 12 days. Mrs. Phegley moved to Dexter in 1973. She was a member of the Westside Southern Baptist Church in Dexter. She was a member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary and had been very active at the Dexter Senior Center. On May 3, 1944, she was married to Jewel Alvin Phegley in Dexter, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2005. She is survived by two sons, Richard Lee (Mary) Phegley of Lewisville, Texas, Albert Andrew (Shannon) Phegley of Roby, Missouri; two daughters, Linda Louise (Mike) Hawkins of Poplar Bluff, Pamela Jane (Glen) Wooley of Deatsville, Alabama; ten grandchildren, Richard Lee (Carolyn) Phegley, Jr., Scot Andrew (Kim) Phegley, Brian Douglas (Jonette) Phegley, Michael Wayne (Tammy Wyatt) Hawkins, Melissa Rose Hawkins, Amanda Rachelle (Ben) Edwards, Christine Janelle (Aaron) Silas, Alvin Andrew (Shauna) Phegley, Morgan Elliott, Madison Elliott; twenty-one great grandchildren, Jacob, Samuel, Luke, Anna Kate, Parker, Claire, Olivia, Addison, and West Phegley, Ansley, Rylan, and Ava Silas, Allison and Eliza Edwards, Joseph and Jakob Al-makuter, Christopher, Sarah and Austin Hawkins, Mason and Cole Phegley; brother, W. A. "Dutch" Mills and sister, Maxine Thurston both of Sikeston. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one great grandson, Trace Phegley; two brothers, Gilbert & Kenneth Mills and two sisters, Louise Monroe and Ruby Chapman. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 20, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Ron Williams of Aid officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
