Peggie “Bonnie” Miller
Peggie “Bonnie” Esther Miller was born on September 6, 1941 to the late Jesse and Pauline (Ridenhour) Maddox in Dexter, Missouri, and passed away on July 19, 2025, in Farmington, Missouri at the age of 83.
On June 24, 1961, Peggie “Bonnie” Maddox and James D. Miller were united in marriage at Liberty Hill General Baptist Church in Aid, Missouri. James preceded her in death on April 8, 2022.
Bonnie lived in Southeast Missouri for the majority of her life, and was a longtime active member of Corinth General Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri. She enjoyed painting, drawing, sewing, restoring antiques, and gardening.
Bonnie is survived by her children: son Darrell (Dyan) Miller, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter Carroll Simpson, of Farmington, Missouri; son James A. (Denise) Miller, of St. Louis, Missouri; and 6 grandchildren including Gina (Terry), Heather (Donnie), Katherine (Trey), Josiah, Ezra, and Zipporah (Joseph); 6 great grandchildren including Crystal, Corbin, Miller, Raleigh, Fred, and Blakelee; and 2 brothers, Buddy Maddox, of Williamsville, Missouri, and Ben Maddox, of Benld, Illinois.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James D., and an infant son, Jerry Dean Miller.
The visitation will be on Monday, July 28, 2025, beginning at 11 A.M. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri, and the funeral beginning at 1 P.M. Burial will immediately follow at Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri. Watkins and Sons is handling all arrangements.
