Richard Barker, the son of the late Ralph and Ida Dillinger Barker, was born in Gideon, Missouri on December 19, 1948, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter, Missouri on October 8, 2005, at the age of 56 years, 9 months and 19 days.
He had lived in Dudley, Missouri since he was sixteen years old. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Dexter. He was a self employed fish farmer.
On January 3, 1969, he was married to Donna Gant in Dudley, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Barker of Dudley, Missouri; one daughter and son in law, Janelle and Steve Gibson of Seattle, Washington; one grandson, Gant Gibson of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Ralph Barker of Monroe, Louisiana, Jim Barker of Bentonia, Mississippi; four sisters, Jean Yates of St. Louis, Missouri, Frances Stewart of Doniphan, Missouri, Carolyn Lowery of Illinois, and Betty Barnes of Mt. View, Missouri . Other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Father David Dohogne of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
