RICK DON WEAVER

It is with great sadness that the Weaver family announces the loss of our witty, thoughtful, and inspiring father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Ricky (Rick) Don Weaver of Bloomfield, Missouri, departed this life on March 19, 2023, at sixty-six years of age. He was surrounded by family at the end of his long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Rick was born in 1956, to Elma Louise (Grim) Johnson and Donald Lee Weaver in Dexter, Missouri. He attended schools in Poplar Bluff and St. Louis, Missouri; Corning, Arkansas; and Fresno, California. He graduated from Bloomfield High School where he cemented many lifelong friendships. Rick was a continual learner, and even earned an associate degree in business administration mid-life. Rick was married to Teresa Churchill and had one son, Eric Weaver in that marriage. He later was married to Ruth Zook, his second wife and good friend for thirty years. They had two children, Rikki and Jesse Weaver.

Rick served in the U.S. Army. After which, he spent many years working as an auto mechanic; he worked for his father (Dyno), at several dealerships, and his own mechanic shop. Finally, he established Weaver Auto Trim & Mini Storage in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Rick treasured his rural home where he lived with his two beloved dogs, Pumpkin and Peewee. He had many hobbies including photography and herpetology. Rick loved to play board and card games and kept numerous journals. He was a naturalist and a semi-successful gardener that enjoyed walking his property identifying trees and reptiles, and determining the edibility of mushrooms. He had wonderful friends and cherished every moment with them whether they were playing golf, scrabble, camping in the woods, or losing to him at late-night card games.

Loving survivors include: his parents, Don and Shirley Weaver, and Clesten Johnson; two sisters, Theresa (Cloyce) Faries, and Shaundous (Carl) Lutman; two brothers, Lester Weaver and Brian (Kim) Johnson; three children, Eric (Austine) Weaver, Rikki Weaver, and Jesse (Ashley) Weaver; and four grandchildren, Jack Lewis, and Audrey, Julia, and Jasper Weaver.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Elma Louise (Grim) Johnson, and his sister Charlet Dian (Weaver) Carden.
