Robert "Bob" Link, son of the late Edgar Washington and Ollie Myrtle Mason Link, was born in Bernie, Missouri on September 23, 1939, and passed away at his home near Wappapello, Missouri on August 29, 2016, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 6 days. He had lived in DeSoto, Dexter, and Fenton before moving to Wappapello 20 years ago. He and his wife had owned and operated Bob's Auto Glass before their retirement. He attended the Lakeland Assembly of God Church near Wappapello and was a Hamm Radio Operator. On January 21, 1959, he was married to Carole Jean West in Bernie, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2014. Surviving are four sons, Robert Link of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Roger and Royce Link both of Wappapello, Randy Link of Hillsboro, Missouri; one daughter, Cindy Ryan of Wappapello; sixteen grandchildren; eightteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; three sisters, Bernice Hunt of Columbia, Missouri, Charlette Zimmerman of Bernie, Missouri, Doris Horn of Dexter, Missouri; and one brother, George Eugene Link of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Waggoner and Donnie Barber, three brothers, Dennis Nunn, J. C. Link and Steven "Wayne" Link. Visitation will be held at from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday September 1, 2016, at the Lakeland Assembly of God Church in Wappapllo, Missouri. Memorial services, interment & full Military Rites will be held Friday, September 2, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Pastor Arvin Haynes of Wappapello, Missouri officiating. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
