Rosie Emily Duniphan

May 3, 1925 — August 24, 2025

 Rosie Emily Duniphan was born May 3, 1925 in Stanton, Tennessee to the late Joe A. and Jenny Mae (Couch) Moen, and passed away August 24th, 2025 at the age of 100 years old.


      Rosie was united in marriage to Sam Duniphan on November 28th, 1942 in Benton, Missouri and was a homemaker and caretaker for others most of her life. She lived in southern Missouri almost all her life and lived a few years in Illinois before her passing. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Delta, Missouri and was baptized in March of 1952. Rosie was family oriented and was very active in her church. She loved to sew, making Easter dresses for the grandkids and making homemade quilts, baking and making the best chicken and dumplings. She taught her grandchildren how to fish and how to farm and had a garden every year. She loved her family and her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.


      Surviving family include: four sisters: Bonnie Moen of Clearwater, Florida, Betty Salsibury of Belleville, Illinois, Evelyn Case of Illinois, Mary Whittley of Missouri, two brothers: Joe Moen of Missouri and Amund Moen of Lewistown, Pennsylvania. She has eight grandchildren: Tyra Beck of Chester, Illinois, Candi and Randy Cole of Coulterville, Illinois, Jerry and Lisa Beck of Galatia, Illinois, Angela and Patrick Kirby of Alton, Illinois, Darla and Ben Fang of Troy, Illinois, Rachelle and Bob Ganz of Breeze, Illinois, Jamie and Kevin Gant of Highland, Illinois, Jenelle Gaerte of Smithton, Illinois and many more great and great great grandchildren.


      Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sam Duniphan, three children: Shirley Ann (Duniphan) Havy, Dannie Ray Duniphan, and Lois Jean Kinney, two brothers: Fred Moen, Robert Moen, one sister: Celeta Henderson.


      Visitation will be Thursday, August 28th, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.


      Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 28th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.


      Burial following at McGee New Hope.
