Ruby Caroline Siemer, daughter of the late Henry Alvin and Mary Magdalene Gribler Smith, was born in McGee, Missouri on December 29, 1940, and passed away at the St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Missouri on October 6, 2015, at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 7 days. Ruby had been a resident of the Wappapello and Shook areas most of her life. She had lived in Texas, Washington and in the country of Panama. She had attended the Shiloh Church at Shook and had worked as an L.P.N. at the Poplar Bluff Hospital, Doctor's Hospital, Cedar Gate, Puxico & Greenville Nursing Homes, Wayne County Home Health and as a private home health nurse. She had been a member of the Wappapello V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary, the Arbor Day Foundation and the Audubon Society. She enjoyed being outdoors, watching birds, raising flowers and gardening. She was married to Fred Underwood and he preceded her in death. She later married Clarence Bernard Siemer and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1999. Surviving are three sons, James "J.P." Underwood of Shook, Missouri, John W. Underwood of Mexico Beach, Florida, Gene Underwood of Fremont, California; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Carver of Wappapello, Missouri; one brother, Richard Smith of McGee, Missouri. Other friends and relatives also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Virgil Smith.. Friends may visit after 11:00 am on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Sunday October 11, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri. Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery in McGee, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
