Stella Linson

Stella Linson, daughter of the late John C. and Georgia Potter Hodge, was born in Harrisburg, Illinois on June 9, 1924, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico, Missouri on February 25, 2015, at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 16 days. She had lived in Michigan until moving to Puxico in 1976. She had worked as a nurse at the Pontiac General Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan and was a member of the Puxico General Baptist Church. On May 12, 1947, she was married to Raymond "Bud" Linson in Pontiac, Michigan. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1996. Surviving are four sons, Jim Linson and Don Linson both of Warren, Michigan, Raymond Linson of Puxico, Glen Linson of Waterford, Michigan; two daughters, Norma Robertson of Lapeer, Michigan, Rita Gilbreath of Union Lake, Michigan; thirteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Roy Linson and four brothers. Friends may call on Monday, March 2, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Bro. Kenneth Lambert of Puxico officiating. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
