Thomas Earl Rodgers was born on September 30, 1956 at Wyatt, Missouri and departed this world on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at the age of 60, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Tom was a resident of Dexter, Missouri. He was of the Christian faith and retired from being self-employed at Tom's MTM and Tom's Towing. He was a jack-of-all-trades who loved his children and grandchildren more that anything. Tom had a passion for helping others and enjoyed motorcycles and laughing with his loved ones. Tom is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Pat Rodgers of Dexter, his children, Heather Tidwell & husband Shae, who he treated like a son, of Dexter, Kristina Stone of Sikeston, Candice Rodgers of Malden, Thomas Brewer of Morley, Jerry Brewer of East Prairie, David Jones of Charleston, and Shawna Rodgers of Florida, fifteen grandchildren, Sierra Skelton, Hallie Skelton, Trinity Stone, D. J. Jones, Prestyn Tidwell, Kaylar Tidwell, Jayce Tidwell, Bentley Slayton, Christian Arment, Sara Brewer, Timothy Brewer, Jacob Brewer, Jerry Lee Brewer, Josh Rodgers and Jon Rodgers; three sisters, Ann Harris of Charleston, Sue Hunt of East Prairie, and Linda Peddie and husband Bruce of Wickliffe, Kentucky and one brother, Allen Rodgers and wife Carol of Charleston. Also many family members, loved ones and many he considered as his own children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rowland & Hallie Rodgers, one brother, Rowland "Son" Rodgers, Jr. and one grandson, Quintine Schmidt. Friends and family may gather to celebrate his life on Thursday, Oct. 20th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
