Velva "Teed" Hankins, daughter of the late Claud Atwater and Lucy Woods Little, was born in Parma, Missouri on November 11, 1932, and passed away at her home in Morehouse, Missouri on March 12, 2015, at the age of 82 years and 4 months. She had lived in Morehouse, Missouri for many years and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Morehouse. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star. Surviving are four sons, James Hankins of Marion, Illinois, Donald Hankins of House Springs, Missouri, Ronald Hankins of Overland, Missouri, Jeffery Hankins of Morehouse, Missouri; two daughters, Judith Hankins of Morehouse, Missouri and Roberta Hankins, wife of Fadhel Al-Khazaly of Pevely, Missouri; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and one brother, Leo Little of Whiting, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Hankins, five brothers and two sisters. Friends may call on Sunday, March 15, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor Randy Thomas of Sikeston officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
