William Edward Woods

William Edward "Bill" Woods, son of the late Homer F. and Golda Mae Etheridge Woods, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 4, 1945, and passed away at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on October 2, 2015, at the age of 70 years and 28 days. He had lived in Dexter most of his life. He was a member of the Elk General Baptist Church near Broseley, Missouri and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and picking up pecans. Surviving are one son and wife, Aaron Shae & Tina Marie (Brown) Woods of Gerald, Missouri; one granddaughter, Abigail Nicole Woods of Beaufort, Missouri; one Aunt, Caroline Bruce and close friends, Peggy Spence and Judy & Delbert Pruett. Other family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, William Woods, Jr., one grandson, Tyler Shae Woods and one brother, Wayne Woods. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 6, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dan Ross of Silva, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
